
Adidas - 2020 Gift-Giving Campaign
The Context
Coming to the end of a rollercoaster of a year, we worked with Adidas Japan on an integrated campaign that rolled out across web, social and their e-commerce platform, comprising dozens of video assets, UGC submissions, stills, and more.
With this winter campaign, we used the opportunity to look ahead to 2021 with positivity and also give thanks to the friends, family, and loved ones around us who have been there to support us in 2020. Featuring climber Miho Nonaka, rugby player Yoshikazu Fujita and basketball player Monica Okoye - all professionals at the top of their game, with Olympic aspirations, who have seen their sporting calendars disrupted throughout 2020 - we captured authentic moments of each of them gifting presents to friends, family, and training partners, as a token of thanks for always being there.
The anthem video was directed by Umi Ishihara, who splits her time between Tokyo and London (a similarly difficult process during these times!), and features original music by up-and-coming rapper / track-maker Le Makeup. Photography for the still assets was done by Houmi Sakata, with graphic design by Minori Murata.
