Arlo Parks: Purple Phase
Following on from our tour diary documenting 2-time Grammy nominee Arlo Park’s debut performance in Japan at Fuji Rock last year, this summer we were privileged to accompany her to shoot her first-ever headline performances in Tokyo and Seoul. Along the way, we carved out the time to film a music video for fan favourite, “Purple Phase,” taken from 2023 album “My Soft Machine.” With the ethereal neon lights of Shibuya as a backdrop, we framed Arlo’s fragile meditation on friendship and loss as a solitary drive through the city, captured during a typically balmy summer night in Tokyo. 💜
